New partnership makes Seattle-Tacoma International Airport the world’s first airport to explore long-term financing for sustainable aviation fuels

Seattle - The Port of Seattle, SkyNRG and Carbon War Room (CWR) today announced a groundbreaking partnership to investigate long-term financing mechanisms that could supply all airlines at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (Sea-Tac) with sustainable aviation fuels. Sea-Tac is the first airport in the world to initiate this step to provide an airport-wide sustainable aviation fuel supply for all routine airline operations.

Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and the Environment joins KLM Corporate BioFuel Programme

Rotterdam - Today, the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and the Environment became the first governmental office to join the KLM Corporate BioFuel Programme. State Secretary of the Ministry of Infrastructure and the Environment Sharon Dijksma announced this at the National Climate Summit in Rotterdam. By participating in the programme, the Ministry enables its employees to travel on flights using sustainable biofuel whenever possible. As a result, the Ministry will be able to reduce its carbon dioxide emissions from air travel by about 50%.
