Inauguration of Safran Tech, Safran's new research & technology center

Paris - Geneviève Fioraso, French Minister of Higher Education and Research, and Jean-Paul Herteman, Chairman and CEO of Safran, today inaugurated Safran's new Research & Technology Center, Safran Tech, at France's leading science and technology cluster, in Saclay, near Paris. Safran Tech will eventually house some 300 scientists and engineers dedicated to research on key disciplines for all of Safran's business sectors.

Biojet fuels: paving the way towards low carbon aviation

Berlin - In new analyses published this month, Ecofys outlines a pathway for harmonising different international sustainability criteria for biojet fuels. The studies also present design options for airlines to account and report those fuels. The work was carried out for IATA, the International Air Transport Association.

4 environmentally friendly resorts in Costa Rica now available through United Airlines' Eco-Skies vacations

Chicago - United Airlines today announces the launch of United Eco-Skies® Vacations, a new travel program that provides United customers with vacation options that incorporate sustainability and environmental responsibility into their getaways. The airline is working with The Mark Travel Corporation, exclusive tour operator for United Vacations, and long-time partner and global nonprofit organization Sustainable Travel International to launch the vacation program.
