JetBlue recycles 18.5 tonnes of used uniforms

NEW YORK - JetBlue Airways today announces a donation of more than 18.5 tons of used uniforms, clothing and fabric to several non-profit partners including Planet Aid, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that collects and recycles worn clothing and shoes. Planet Aid will sell the clothing with the proceeds supporting health, agricultural, educational, and environmental programs in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean and Latin America. The collection and organization was coordinated by Loomstate, an end-to-end sustainable fashion house.

First A320neo successfully completes first flight

The first A320neo to fly has landed back at Toulouse-Blagnac Airport France at 02:22 pm local time after successfully completing its first flight which lasted around two and a half hours. The aircraft – carrying the registration F-WNEO – was flown by Airbus Experimental Test Pilots Philippe Pellerin and Etienne Miche de Malleray. Accompanying them in the cockpit was Test-Flight Engineer Jean-Paul Lambert. Monitoring the progress of the flight profile were the Flight-Test Engineers Manfred Birnfeld and Sandra Bour-Schaeffer.
