Airlines and partners around the world are starting to use sustainable alternative fuels in commerical flights. Soon, this will be a routine part of airline energy planning, but for the moment, these flights are special - they demonstrate the willingness of the industry to kick-start the field of renewable energy in aviation. Below is a list of the initial set of commercial flights that have taken place.

Recently, we have begun to see more regular flights powered by sustainable alternative fuel, notably from Oslo Airport and Los Angeles Airport, meaning that this table cannot be kept completely up to date. Instead, it should be seen as a guide to the early development of sustainable alternative fuels in aviation.
